well it's been a while but the frame is comming together nicley. i leveled it up and wtack welded it to metal stands. cut out the old frame patch i did prior and made sure it was dead nuts. then i shitcanned the rera cross member i made becuase i decided i didnt; liek it anymore. then i built a new crossmember from 3/16 plate. set up for a pintle hook instead of a reese style reciever. a pintle hook bolts on so it's a more approved tow point. (most places frown on welded tow points). i plated the bottom rails of the frame also becuse i found one small soft spot arouind a nutsert for the skid plate. so like everything theres ALOT of overkill there. thta damn plasma cutter came in handy there. now i'm workign on reinforcing the frame around the steering box, fixing damaged nuts in the frame and the shackle reversal. hopefully i can have the frame repairs wraped up in a week or 2 and then get started on painting the frame to deter rust and getting the axles assembled

little update.. i finished the frame and painted it a couple weeks ago.. put new energy suspension bushing in all 4 springs and have them mounted up on the frame. the front axle is on it's way to having the ring and pinion finished up. the axle has been an uphill battle but i think i see the peak of the mountain finally! and i;ve learned alot about dana axles on the journey. soon as the front axle is done the rear axle comes apart. buddy of mine talked me out of welding up the spiders in the rear and talked me into spending $300 on a lunchbox locker for it instead. tighter turns and stilll have full on tractionwhen you press the squirrel pedal (remember this is a 2.5 4 cyl jeep!) in the meantime i'm makign some shackles and i'm going to get the frame flipped right side up on the saw haroses and start test fitting the engine trans and tcase again (it's still bolted in one piece..) and measureing for the cross member i'm going to build. hoping to see a rolling from and drive train here soon! i'll get some pics of the axle setup and the frame over the weekend and post them.

the crane trailer we bought is really comming in handy with all of the heavy lifting.. makes putting the entier driveline in as one piece very easy!
